Community Director

Datashift is seeking a highly motivated Community Director to develop a new brand, with the aim to grow a new community of data leaders, decision-makers, and professionals across Belgium.


By actively bringing together stakeholders from C-Level, Management, and Data Professionals, we aim to act as a Firestarter in propagating the further use of data and innovation through data across different industries in Belgium.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Community Building & Brand Development: Lead the creation and development of a powerful community and brand that connects C-Level executives, managers, and data professionals. This community will position Datashift as a thought leader in the data and innovation space.
  • Event Management & Execution: Organize, promote, and host high-quality events (both virtual and physical), designed to engage and inspire stakeholders at every level. These events will serve as a platform to share knowledge, foster innovation, and build a strong network.
  • Strategic Growth & Marketing: Drive the expansion of the community through targeted marketing efforts and strategic initiatives that attract new members, build partnerships, and elevate the brand’s visibility within the industry.
  • Content Moderation & Thought Leadership: Create and manage content that inspires conversation, using the community as a platform where toughtleaders voiced their opinions and spark meaningful conversations and new ideas surface.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and manage relationships with key stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, including industry leaders, startups, academia, and public sector representatives. Ensuring that these connections are meaningful and contribute to the community’s growth.
  • Entrepreneurship: Take ownership of the community’s growth and success by identifying opportunities, taking initiatives, and confidently driving projects forward. This is a role for someone who thrives on autonomy and is capable of making things happen.



Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in a similar role, with a track record of successfully building and managing communities.
  • Strong understanding of the data, analytics, and innovation ecosystem.
  • Excellent event planning and execution skills, with the ability to create impactful experiences that attract senior stakeholders.
  • A Entrepreneural mindset with experience in brand building, content creation, and driving strategic growth.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in Dutch and English (and preferably French).
  • Growth-oriented with a passion for creating new opportunities and building something impactful from the ground up
