As a data scientist, you will play a critical role in advancing the data strategy and use case roadmap for our clients by exploring analytical use cases and scaling intelligence into analytical products across the organization.
Your responsibilities
As a data scientist, you will support clients in:
Exploring analytical and data-driven use cases:
- Deepen the understanding of the business rationale and value behind potential use cases, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Conduct thorough analyses of available data, identify data gaps, and assess the feasibility of proposed solutions.
- Build MVP analytical products using techniques such as prediction, simulation, forecasting, and classification to address identified business challenges.
- Transform analytical insights into actionable business initiatives through in-market experimentation, demonstrating proof of value.
Scaling intelligence into industrialized analytical products:
- Deploy models into production and optimize MVPs into scalable solutions.
- Continuously monitor model performance.
- Maintain, update, and retrain models as necessary.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data governance experts, and data producers to ensure robust and reliable underlying data pipelines.
- Work with digital application experts to integrate intelligence into workflows for employees, customers, and partners, ensuring data-driven decision-making in operations and realizing measurable benefits.
As a data scientist, you are expected to take ownership of your projects and deliver high-quality results autonomously. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to mentor and coach junior colleagues, sharing your expertise and contributing to their growth.
Your Qualifications
- Strong statistical and analytical foundation with a strategic and value-driven mindset, and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in statistical analysis, data mining techniques, and general data best practices.
- Understanding of a coding language (Python, R, etc.) or a strong eagerness to learn if not yet mastered.
- Experience with machine learning operations (MLOps) is a plus.
- Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
- Fluent in English; Dutch is considered a significant plus.
