To further grow our data governance practice, we are currently looking for a skilled Product Owner

Your responsibilities:
Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for data governance products and solutions.

  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define use cases, and translate business needs into actionable tasks.
  • Data Governance Implementation:
  • Lead the development and implementation of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security through consistent monitoring and improvement practices.
  • Oversee the implementation of data stewardship roles and responsibilities across the organization.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, compliance, and business units, to ensure successful adoption of data governance practices.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between data owners, data stewards, and other key stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on data governance activities, progress, and performance metrics to senior management.
  • Project Management:
  • Manage data governance projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with data governance initiatives.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and partners as needed.
  • Training and Support:
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on data governance principles and best practices.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to data stewards and other stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of data governance and accountability throughout the organization.

Your qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Project Manager, or similar role, preferably within a data-centric environment.
  • Strong understanding and interest of data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in data governance tools and technologies (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Purview, …).
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Master’s degree in the field of Informatics, Business Economics, Civil Engineering or Information Management;
  • Fluent in English and French/Dutch
