Our brand new office
1 April 2020
We are very happy to announce the reopening of our completely renovated office in the heart of Mechelen.
History
At the kitchen table, the Datashift business model took shape to officially kick off in January 2015. Due to the rapid growth of our organization, we moved three times in less than 4 years. In 2018, we finally moved to our own office in the Oude Brusselsestraat in Mechelen. One year ago, in 2019, we decided to renovate this office.
Ambitions of the project
Creation of a pleasant and functional workplace
We attach great importance to our employees and wanted to create a pleasant and comfortable workplace for everyone. However, the workplace should not only be nicely decorated, it should also be functional.
Professional and reliable appearance
Besides a comfortable workplace for its employees, our new office also had to be a suitable place for business meetings. A potential customer or partner must immediately get a professional and reliable impression when entering the office. However, the intention was not to create a distance between us and the visitor. That is why the visitor and work areas certainly did not have to be separated areas. This idea was extended throughout the entire office.
Flexible use of space is key
Given the rapid growth of our organization, we needed on the one hand to create sufficient office space. On the other hand, the occupancy rate of the office is always highly variable because most employees work on projects in our client’s offices. Also homework was and is always possible at Datashift. In other words, the occupancy rate changes on a daily basis and is also very difficult to predict. That is why, especially on the ground floor, we focussed on developing a multifunctional space where both our employees and our customers immediately feel welcome.
The result
In March 2020, just before the lockdown, the total renovation of our office was completed. We are very proud of this project that sends out a clear signal to our employees, partners and customers: and… we are not finished yet!
